Stephen J. Szczerbacki Obituary

We bid farewell to Stephen J. Szczerbacki of Sheridan, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 13, 2025 at the age of 83. Stephen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Stephen may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Stephen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen J. Sr. Szczerbacki and Helen Szczerbacki; and his brother Vitold Szczerbacki. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Szczerbacki; his sister Ellen Szczerbacki of Fla; and his siblings-in-law, James Opeil (Gloria) of Sheridan, NY, Philip Opeil of Forestville, NY, Barbara Garland (James) of Fredonia, NY, Diana Rozewicz (Paul) of Silver Creek, NY and Joanne Szczerbacki of Dunkirk, NY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mt Carmel RC Church (165 Central Ave, Silver Creek, NY 14136). A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
