She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Jeffrey and Nettie Jeffrey (Collins); her husband Erin Bradley Bates; and her brothers, Walter, Roger, Lee and Danny.

She is survived by: her children, Darla Maynard (Gordon), Linda McCracken (Larry), Bruce Bates (Doreen), Michael Franklin, Barbara Grover (James) and Bradley Bates (Lysa). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law.

Marge volunteered at the SE School, RSVP, Roger's Education Center as well as driving for people in need.
