He was predeceased by: his son Blake. He is survived by: his parents, David Ryan of Sherburne and Margaret Thurston Ryan of Oneida; his sons, Gavin of Sauquoit, Keagan of Sauquoit and Samuel Ryan of Sauquoit; his siblings, Rachel Ryan of Sherburne, Ashley Ryan of Sherburne and Matthew Ryan of Sherburne; and his cousin Theodore Nicholson of Oneida. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
