He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Boise and Grace Hill Boise; and his brother Douglas Boise. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Susie" Llewellyn; his children, Howard C. "Chuck" Boise, Jr. (Barbara) of Sherburne and Candy Boise of Norwich; his grandchildren, Ashley Boise (Andrey), Brooke Donohue (Greg), Jeramie Barber (Karina) and Dustin Genter (Sarah); and his great grandchildren, Jaiden, Finnley Donohue and Valentina Boise.
