She was predeceased by: her parents, Merlin Palmer and Ellen Voorhis Palmer; her close friend Walter J. Truax; and her siblings, Glenda Voorhis, Alberta Harkcom and Merlin "Bud" Palmer, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Steven Ray, Melinda Ray of Sherburne, Gary, Valarie Ray of Edmeston, Julie Sharki of Norwich, Merlin and Robin Truax; her sister June; and her brother-in-law Jerry Mathot. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
