Palma Todaro Obituary
Beloved Wife, Mother, Nonna, Sister and Friend, Palma Todaro passed away at the age of 67 on March 23rd, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at her side.
Palma was born on December 26th, 1955 to Antonino and Rosaria Sclafani in Castellamare del Golfo, Sicily. She is the older sister to Joseph (Leyla) and Mario (Francine) Sclafani.
In 1976, Palma married the love of her life, Onofrio (Frank) Todaro. Together they shared two children, Teresa and Anthony (Meryl) Todaro. Palma was blessed and loved beyond measure by her four grandchildren, Christopher and Isabella Orlando and Anthony John and Matthew Todaro.
Her very long battle with serious medical issues over the past 42 years showed her courage in facing life's daily challenges with a smile. Despite the pain and suffering that Palma endured throughout the years, she came out a hero and stayed strong until her final moment.
Always going above and beyond for those she loved, Palma loved spending time with her loving family the most, she enjoyed her time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family, she loved to bake and garden, the beach, long scenic car rides and playing Bunco with her friends.
Palma had a contagious laugh and an infectious smile and she loved everyone. Wherever she was there was love and you felt it.
Palma was a kind and thoughtful soul. She will be missed tremendously and remembered by many people and the lives that she has touched.
Family and friends are asked to gather from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 at Bryant Funeral Home, 411 Old Town Road, East Setauket, NY, A Catholic mass will be held at 10:45am at St. James R.C. Church, 429 Route 25A, East Setauket, NY, Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram, NY, A wife, a Mother a Nonna too, this is the legacy we have from you.
