He was predeceased by: his father Beatini Award; his siblings, Anna Peck (Ernest), Domenica Giovannini (Geno), Frank Caraccilo (Mary) and Domenic Caraccilo Junior; and his sister-in-law Judith Caraccilo.

He is survived by: his wife Janet "Jan" Caraccilo (Pelton); his sons, Christopher Pelton of Rochester and Jonathan Vincent of Canandaigua; his brothers, Eugene of Ithaca and Robert (Marie) of Seneca Falls; and his sister-in-law Katherine (Kay).
