He is survived by: his parents, John Scanlon and Mary Scanlon (Klix); his siblings, Deborah Messmer (Jeff), Patrick (Allison), Brendan and Cate; his nephews, Zachary (Elizabeth) and Elliot Messmer; and his great-niece Lucy Messmer.
