He was predeceased by: his sisters, Bonnie Kate Hardaway and Edith Franklin; his grandmother Pearlie Mae Allen; and his aunt Brenda Brown. He is survived by: his significant other Tina Tyman; his children, Shalane Jenkins and Cara Johnson; his stepchildren, Tabatha Joyner (Kevin), Tracy Tyman, Terri Clark, Tanya Lafferty (Brian), Timothy Tyman (Tabatha), Jamie Harris and Ryan Brown; and his siblings, Ozie Johnson (Carolyn), Ron Johnson and Louise Wright (Eugene). He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
