He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Andrew and Catherine Nally Telfer; his wife Nora Gilleran Telfer; his siblings, Thomas, Mary (Godfrey) and James; and his daughter-in-law Carol.

He is survived by: his sons, John Telfer and Joseph Telfer (Susan); and his cousin Diana Marlette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donation in his memory may be made to Gurry Trust Fund, The Sisters of St. Joseph, 385 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham, NY 12110.
