He was predeceased by: his father Henry G. Shoddy; his siblings, Richard Shoddy (Vicky), Gerald Shoddy (Harriet) and Phyllis Groesbeck (Charles); and his daughter-in-law Louise Westervelt Young.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Shoddy (Hoffman); his children, Henry Shoddy III (Kimberly), James Young (Louise), Nancy Kane (Michael) and Sherle Slingerland (Shawn); his grandchildren, Stephen Schmitt (Lisa), Amy Haslam (Charles), Alicia Denson, Stephanie Watson (Kenny), Shane Slingerland and Sam Slingerland; his great grandchildren, Matthew McCauslin (Angelina Heidlemark), Lukas Schmitt, Tylor, Logan Haslam and Aria Vincent; and his great great grandchild Keele Belle McCauslin.
In lieu of flowers Henry would appreciate a donation to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
