She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Gardiner Payne (Aldegondes Kennedy Payne) and Long Islander. She is survived by: her husband Roderick Kincaid; her children, Scott Kincaid (Ruth Brown), Nicole Papageorgiou and Leslie Kincaid Burby (Joseph Burby); her grandsons, Henry and Adam Burby; and her pet Cordelia Muffin.
Fortunately, Joan's outstanding soprano voice won her a Helios Foundation scholarship to Juilliard.
