He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Chicken and Josephine Chicken (Dopjera); his brother-in-law Arthur Merchant; and his niece Jennifer Kristin. He is survived by: his sister Nancy Merchant; his nephews, Corey Merchant (Michelle) and Brian Kristin; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brayden, Dylan Merchant, Hannah and Hailey Kristin.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (231 2nd St, Scotia, NY 12302). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery (2501 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Niskayuna, NY 12309).
