He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Engert and Avis Engert (Davies); his mother-in-law Frances Palombo; his brother-in-law Andrew Palombo; his nephews, Jimmy and Tommy Walker; and his niece Meghan Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Engert; his son Jonathan Engert (Carly); his grandsons, Colin and Connor Engert; and his siblings, Fred Engert (Patti) and Dawn Walker (Jim).
