He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Gatta and Mary Gatta (Ciabotti); his wife Genevieve Gatta; his daughter Regina Barnes; his grandson Kenneth Barnes Jr.; his daughter-in-law Lisa Gatta; his siblings, Clara Coppola, Thomas Gatta and George Gatta; and his siblings-in-law, Samuel Coppola and Agnes Gatta.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joseph Gatta, Robert Gatta (Marianna) and Mary Ann Marx (James); his children, Carmen Gatta Jr. (Jeanne), Joseph Gatta, Stanley Gatta, Marlene Gatta and Mary Metzger (Rick); and his son-in-law Kenneth Barnes. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
