He was predeceased by: his parents, Erwin St. John and Arlene Poitras St. John; and his brother George W. Brunina. He is survived by: his wife Hazel Beatrice Poitras; his children, Wade Poitras, Joseph E. Poitras, Jr. and Sandra Harkins; his sister Nancy Young; and his grandsons, Daniel Harkins, Christopher Harkins and Tyler Stout.
