He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Orenstein and Esther Orenstein. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Orenstein; his children, David Orenstein (Melissa) and Sherry Estrada (Armando); his sister Debby Orenstein; and his grandchildren, Jason, Caitlyn and Samantha.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Kidney Association.
