He is survived by: his wife Gwendolyn Gillings-Smith; his daughters, Kathi Garner (Jim) and Pamela Schappacher; his adoptive daughter Paula Whittamore; his stepchildren, Karen Harvey (John) and Andrew Gillings (Tabitha); his grandchildren, Tom of Sarah, J. R., Scotty and Richelle; his great grandchildren, Christopher, Johnathan, Brandon, Breanna, Tanner, Jaycob, Jordyn, Aubrey, Ava, Alaina, Mason, Damon, Kayla, Olivia, Owen, Isaac, Loretta and Richmond; his great great grandchildren, Blake, Mason, Braxton, Laine and Mila; his sister Carol Sparrow; and his close friend Archie.
