With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert D. Bortell of Schoharie, New York, born in Cobleskill, New York, who passed away on January 31, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bortell and Alice Bortell (Tallmadge); and his sister Dawn Hayner. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Bortell (Palmer); his children, John R. Lindemann (Kim) of Blauvelt, NY, Rebecca P. Bortell of Rochester, NY and Cassandra P. Bortell (Richard Schaad) of Orem, UT; his godchild Dionne "Dee" Davis (Jim) of Amsterdam, NY; his granddaughter Grace Ann Lindemann; his brother Wayne Viele (Tamie) of Leland, NC; his parents-in-law, Everett and Sandy Palmer of Sloansville; and his brother-in-law Dave Hayner.
