She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick McCaffrey and Julia McCaffrey (Nolan). She is survived by: her husband William A. Fischer; her children, Ellen Fischer Bopp (Bryan Bopp) of Pleasant Valley, NY, William J. Fischer (Connie Shemo) of Plattsburgh, NY, Patrick F. Fischer (Nabeela Fischer) of Chantilly, VA and Frank T. Fischer (Michele Fischer) of Devonshire, Bermuda.; her grandchildren, Kiernan, Rory, Meara Fischer, Alexander, Daniel Bopp, Safia, Sammy, Sarah, Sabrina Fischer, Sydney, Jack and Shannon Fischer; and her sister Rita McCaffrey of Calabasas, California..

Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ellen's name to Catholic Charities.
