He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Schermerhorn and Eva Mae Schermerhorn (Whitbeck); his wife Marian Emily Schermerhorn (Ogden); his siblings, Warren, Frederick, Otis, Ward, Alice Kator, Frances Miller and Virginia; and his son-in-law George Martin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia A. Martin (Donald) of Delanson, Joan L. Martin (Butch) of Delanson and Doreen L. Robertson (David) of Prattsville; his grandchildren, Donald Martin, Nicole Martin, Carl Martin (Tina), Sarah Heim (Dan), Steven Martin (Simi), Michael Martin (Nicole), Timothy Robertson (Athena) and Mikayla Robertson; and his great grandchildren, Morgan Martin, Kayleigh Martin, Danica Heim and Jasmine Heim.
