He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Astarita and Julia Astarita (Saverese); and his siblings, Joseph, Michael, Philip, Freddy and Rosie.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Gerry" Astarita (Sponseller); his children, Laura Astarita (Adam Sackett), Daniel, Mercedes and John; his grandchild Madilyn Astarita; and his family, Adam, Daniel, Dickie and Donnie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
