He was predeceased by: his parents, John Swartz and Mildred Swartz; and his wife Elizabeth Anna Sager. He is survived by: his children, Donna Hilbert (Richard), Linda Hourigan (late Michael), Adela Hughes (Larry Burrows) and John Swartz (Pualani). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
