He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Novak and Frances Novak; and his stepbrothers, Donald Kirker and Richard Kirker. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ronsani Novak; his child Alessandra Hawthorne (David); his grandchildren, Tess and Mitchell Hawthorne; and his sister Carolyn Stark. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Gabriel's Church (3040 Hamburg St, Schenectady, NY 12303). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to St. Gabriel's Church, Dana Farber Cancer Institute or the VFW.
