He is survived by: his mother Miriam Rivera Garcia; his daughter Jean Garcia-Hernandez of Florida; his grandchildren, Javier Rivera-Garcia and Ariya Hope Garcia-Hernandez; and his siblings, Marta Garcia of Schenectady, Nancy Hernandez of Maryland, Hector Garcia of Florida and Harold Garcia of Maryland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
