With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Giammatteo (Schenectady, New York), born in Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on July 29, 2023 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marie Giammatteo to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilio Giammatteo and Mary Giammatteo (Yasko); and her sister Nancy L. Trifilo. She is survived by: her sister Marlene F. Brown of Baltimore, MD.; her nieces and nephews, David Trifilo, Lynn Fiorillo (Thomas), Scot Trifilo, Lisa Burtz (Marcus), Gregg O'Rourke, Kara Brown-Perrett (Kevin) and Erin Brown (Jeffrey); and her pets, Daisy and Max.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Marie's memory to the Animal Protective Foundation in Glenville, NY. or Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Rotterdam where Marie was a parishioner.
