He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Lay and Madelyn Lay; his siblings, Robert Lay, Paul Lay and Linda Lay Landis; his brother-in-law Ronnie Landis; and his cousins, Marvin, Larry, Charlene Pratt and Gary Keplinger.
He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Douglas (Anne Albinak) of Baltimore, MD, Marla Lay Vaughn (Chris) of Sunnyvale, CA and Kathleen Lay (John Maloney) of Clifton Park, NY; his granddaughters, Cailyn Vaughn of Sunnyvale, CA, Natalie of Clifton Park, NY and Nicole Maloney of Clifton Park, NY; his sister Mary Lay Stephenson (Roger) of Platte City, MO; and his cousin Judy Mercer (Ernie) of Kellerton, IA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
