He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Der and Beatrice Van Der (Friguletto); his son Richie; his brother Danny; and his brother-in-law Ronald.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his son Jonathan (Samantha); his sister Rose DeVincenzo (late Ronald); his siblings-in-law, Carole Van Der Werken (late Danny) and Howard Flack (Deb); his aunt Marilyn Friguletto (late Peter); and his pets, Sophie, Skittles and Rocky. He is also survived by seven nieces and one nephew.
The family requests flowers not be sent and contributions be made in John's memory to Kitten Angels (233 Houseman St., Mayfield, NY 12117) or St. Luke's Food Pantry (1241 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304).
