With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James M. Brockway (Schenectady, New York), who passed away on January 6, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Albert Brockway and Marjorie Brockway (Kaye); and his wife Joyce. He is survived by: his children, Jill Squires (Jeff) and Jeff Brockway; his brother Richard Brockway (Pat); his grandchildren, Dan Squires Ryan Squires (Caitlyn) and Kaylie Squires (Mike Church); and his great grandchild McKenzie.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bond Funeral Home (1614 Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY 12306). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
