He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin D. Sweeney, Sr. and Mary Sweeney (Powers); and his brother-in-law Lloyd Wellman. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Wellman; his nephews, Dan Wellman (Karen) and Sean Wellman (Kim Jones); his great-nephews, Madison and Aidan Wellman; and his close friends, Frank Burns (Deidre), Lynette Burns, Jon Boomer and Phil Arony.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Edwin's memory to WMHT Channel 17 or the Esperance Arboretum.
