Cora M. Leja Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 14, 2024, at the age of 93, Cora M. Leja (Schenectady, New York) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cora M. Leja to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Scalzo and Angelina Fazio Scalzo; her husband Walter F. Leja; her siblings, Rose Mineconzo and Rinaldo "Lee" Scalzo; and her niece Dorothy Gillespie.
She is survived by: her caregiver Patty Hyson; her nephews, Michael Mineconzo (Jean), Anthony Scalzo (Laurie), Andy Zahn (Ann) and Ed Leja; and her niece Donna Dworak (Jim). She is also survived by several godchildren, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Schenectady City Mission, PO Box 760, Schenectady, NY 12301 or to a charity of one's choice.
