Caterina Calandra Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Caterina Calandra of Schenectady, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Biagio Insogna and Giuseppina Insogna; and her husband Michele Calandra. She is survived by: her siblings, Raffaele, Nicola Insogna and Giovanna Giamatti; her sons, Giovanni Calandra (Rebecca) and Joseph Calandra (Elizabeth); her sisters, Mafalda Casadei (Gilberto) and Philomena Zanolin; and her granddaughter Tori. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 8:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home – Rotterdam (1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, NY 12306). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (1255 Pleasant St, Schenectady, NY 12303).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Caterina's name to Community Hospice 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
