He is survived by: his wife Eileen Davin Mayer; his children, Susan Mayer (John McKeon) of Port Charlotte, FL and Joseph Mayer of Schaghticoke, NY.; and his nieces and nephews, Dennis Van Wie (Gail), Elizabeth Sweeney, Kathy Charron (Vic) and Scott Van Wie (Cindy).
