With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John George Hayes Sr. of Mechanicville, New York, born in Troy, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John George left this world on June 21, 2024 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John J. Hayes and Ida Hayes (Deragon); his daughter Dawn Ida Hayes; his grandson Joshua Hayes; and his brothers, William Hayes and Joseph Hayes.

He is survived by : his wife Carole J. Hayes (Lovely); and his children, John G. "Jack" Hayes (Michaelena), Shawn Hayes, Kelly Doty (Ernie Mollnow) and Michael Hayes (Pamela). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church (22 Bridge St, Johnsonville, NY 12094). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2150 Central Ave, Schenectady, NY 12304).
