With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert James Root of Savona, New York, born in Elmira, New York, who passed away on April 22, 2022 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Root; his grandparents, Robert Root, James and Eleanore Doyle; and his cousin Samatha Dillion.
He is survived by: his mother Sheila Root (Doyle) of Corning; his sisters, Elley Van Ness of Corning and Debra Jaanane of Corning; his nieces, Beth Harvey, Beca Richards, Katie Van Ness, Mandy Van Ness, Audrey Harvey and Emma Harvey; his nephew Jacob Van Ness; his cousins, Jane Dillion, Matthew Reed (Traci) and Trevor Dillion; and his pet Wyatt.
