He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert J. Leonard and Valentine Mathieu Leonard; his wife Betty Washburn Leonard; his sister Fran Renee May; his children-in-law, Ralph Garrison, Gary Durham, Mark Swanson and Martha Leonard; and his pet Missy.
He is survived by: his children, Lydia Garrison, Richard A. Leonard, Jr. (Shannon), Susan Durham, Melody McKinney (Alan) and Riccardo Werthmann (Julie); his grandchildren, Richard Garrison (Sarah), Dan Durham, Denise Durham, Brandon Teachout and Ashley Purdy; and his great grandchild Jacob Garrison. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
