Helmer of Savannah, New York, born in Montezuma, New York, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester C. Helmer and Golda Helmer (Allen); and his siblings, Edna Sanders L. (Howard), Jean Helmer and Richard L. Helmer (Ann).
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Gerry" (Reading); and his children, Tina Helmer, Kelly Carmon (Tim), Patty McBride (Joe), Richard J. (Linda), Donald Helmer (Lisa), Gerald Helmer and Timothy Capron. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
