He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Newton and Gladys Newton. He is survived by: his wife Catherine J. Newton of Saugerties; his children, Linda Graf of Colorado Springs, CO, David Newton of Kingston and Andrew Newton of Kingston; his sister Roxie Boob of Watsontown, PA; and his granddaughters, Elizabeth Devlin of Brooklyn and Cathleen Rossman of Ohio.
