She was predeceased by: her parents, Johannes Petersen and Christina Mattino Petersen; and her husband William Schimmel. She is survived by: her daughters, Erika Liebel (Dan) of El Paso, Kris Anne Eignor (Howard) of Saugerties and Karen Pfeuti of Lakeland, FL; and her brother Sorens Petersen. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three step-granddaughters and 5 step great grandchildren.
