He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Vogel and Hedwig Vogel; his son Craig Vogel (Marie); and his sister Heidi Nering. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy (Reirson); and his children, Karen Rakowski, Pamela Ozminkowski (Richard) of Lodi, CA and Robert Vogel (Mary Pat) of Livonia, NY. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family suggests donations in his memory be made to God Given Bread, c/o the Saugerties Atonement Lutheran Church, Market St. Saugerties or Hudson Valley Hospice.
