She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Terwilliger and Mary Elizabeth Terwilliger (Houghtaling); her former husband Myron Avery Sr.; and her sisters, Margaret Weber and Harriet Weber.
She is survived by: her children, Gwen Smith, Myron and Mitchell Avery; and her sisters, Ruthann Fassbender and Betty Temple. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 15 great great grandchildren.
