With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James T. Whelan of Saugerties, New York, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on April 5, 2023 at the age of 31. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, James Whelan and Kristin Higgins Whelan; his grandparents, Jean (Charles Smith) and Gary (Murial Higgins) of Florida; and his sisters, Krystal Smith of Malden and Nicole (Jon Hindes) of Orlando, Fla.. He is also survived by Several aunts, uncles and cousins.
