She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Thiemsen and Maria Thiemsen; her former husband William Hally; her son William "Billy" Hally; her son-in-law Larry Benson; her stepdaughter Mariann Krum; her stepchildren-in-law, Edward Krum and Jill Gehring; her brother-in-law Col. Edmund Burhans; her stepgrandson Michael Krom; and her great grandchild Dakoda Hally.

She is survived by: her husband George "Gary" Gehring; her sister Marianne Burhans; her children, Mary Elizabeth Dunbar (Steven), Kathleen Benson (Larry), Jeannette DiSimone (Thomas), Susan Rutella (Mario), Lisa Mayone (Robert) and Timothy Hally (Kei); her daughter-in-law Barbara Hally (William); her stepsons, George, Jr. and Robert Gehring; her grandchildren, Scott, Elizabeth Eller, Sara Dunbar, John, Adam, Brandy, Chad Benson, Kathleen O'Connor, Jeannette Albright, Amy, Luke, Michael, Brian, William, Matthew, Steven Hally, Serena, Joseph Rutella, Chloe and Tanner Mayone; and her stepgrandchildren, Bobbi Craft, Gretchen Gehring, Bobby Gehring, Elizabeth Purcell, Kathleen Fisher, Mariann Discalfani, Buddy and Joseph Krum. She is also survived by 37 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Saugerties Public Library, the Saugerties Animal Shelter or Ten Broeck Commons Nursing Home.
