Gloria Sauer Obituary

We bid farewell to Gloria Sauer (Saugerties, New York), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 6, 2024 at the age of 91. Gloria touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Angelina Saia-Fugarino and Francesco Fugarino; her husband Lars Sauer; her brother Mario; and her grandson Joshua Bach.

She is survived by: her children, Dolores Bach (Steve) of Saugerties, Joanne Sauer of Saugerties, Steve Larson (Nina) of Saugerties, Susan Thorne (Matt), Linda Forristall (John) of Salem, MA and Nancy Short (Ed) of New Cumberland, PA.; her grandchildren, Steve, Eric Bach, Jason Thorne, Melinda McNeil, Jenna, Joe, Joanna Forristall, Christian Didier, Anna, Emma Larson and Brittany Short; and her friend Moreen.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Buono Funeral Service, Inc. (100 Main St, Saugerties, NY 12477). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Donations can be made to the American Heart Association or the Saugerties Animal Shelter in Gloria's honor.
