It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek P. Vitek (Saugerties, New York), born in Kingston, New York, who passed away on June 17, 2019, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Jerry Vitek and Anne Brice Vitek; his children, Alisha Lamoureux (Justin) of Woodstock and Carly Vitek of Kingston; and his grandchildren, Emma, Liam and Quinn (Laura Redmond) of Saugerties.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Derek's memory to the Ulster County SPCA.
