She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Snyder and Lillie Snyder; her husband Gordon Harper; her son Gerald VanSteenburg; and her siblings, Bernice Mower, Lauretta Tice, Orville, Gerald, Herman and Merlin Snyder.
She is survived by: her son Barry (Elizabeth VanSteenburg); and her daughter-in-law Marge VanSteenburg. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family suggests donations in her memory be made to the Saugerties Public Library.
