He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alfred Hopf and Mary Hopf; his siblings, John, Mary, Patricia and Saugerties; his wife Joan Granwehr; his children, Christopher Hopf (Joanne), Judy Hart (William), Stephen Hopf (Dori), Bethany Hopf (Gregory Bennett), Peter Hopf (Amy) and Michael Hopf (Stacey); his grandchildren, Stephen, Mathew, Abby, Vanessa, Michelle, Sumar, Shane, Kimberly, Marcus, Veronica, Owen, Colin, Grace, Kathryn and Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Tanner, Brayden and Kyla.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A procession will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 9:15 AM at the Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc. (45 John St, Saugerties, NY 12477). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (36 Cedar St, Saugerties, NY 12477).
Family suggests donations in his memory be made to Catholic Charities or Hudson Valley Hospice.
