He was predeceased by: his wife Eda Fleischer. He is survived by: his children, Laura Weber (Allan), Allison Read (Edward Cunningham), Walter Read (Melissa), John Read and David Read (Miyo); and his grandchildren, Dana Szumowski (David), Joshua Vincek (Erica), Stacia Buttles (John), Josiah Vincek (Sheetal), Nathaniel Vincek (Celia), Seina Shirakura Read (Zachary Huxley), Alan Read, Nicholas Read and Juliet Read. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
