He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric Eckardt and Johanna Eckardt; his wife Mary Rose Eckardt; his brother Carl Eckardt; his brother-in-law John Keating; and his great grandchild Ollie Ushkow.
He is survived by: his sister Regina Keating; his siblings-in-law, Brenda Lee and John Lee (Barbara); and his children, Robert Eckardt (Teresa), Kathy Goodwin (Kenny), Mary DeWaard (Jim), Linda Perry (Jim), Francis X. Eckardt, Patricia Riggi (Vince), Sandra Foley (Steve) and Eric Eckardt (Sonja). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
