He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest N. Gailor and Eileen F. Gailor (Cormie); and his nephew Sean Gailor. He is survived by: his son Cole Gailor; his siblings, Ernest J. Gailor (Gail), Michael V. Gailor (Mary), Steve Gailor and Julie Gailor; his nephews, Jeremy, Jason, Mike and Alex; and his niece Mary Gailor.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Peter to the K-9 unit of the Saratoga County Sheriff's Department.
